Please make sure you arrive before noon, as we'll be setting off promptly.
We will be meeting from 11:30am on Sunday 2nd June on the Underbanks in Stockport town centre, on the pedestrianised area between Robinsons and the bottom of Mealhouse Brow.
At noon we will be heading towards Merseyway, going straight ahead across the junction at the White Lion. We will turn left at Beaverbrooks, heading towards Mersey Square. As we walk through the covered section of Merseyway we will be keeping to the left.
Once we reach Mersey Square, we will turn right towards the old Debenhams, staying on the pavement. We'll turn right onto Prince's Street, again remaining on the pavement until we pass the lights onto the pedestrianised area.
As we reach Suffragette Square, we'll walk through it over to Bridgefield Street and towards The Light.
Outside The Light we will pause for a moment before turning right onto Hatton Street, and a left back onto Prince's Street. We will follow the road past Glitch and the Halifax, and onto Warren Street. Between Caffe Nero and Savers we will turn right onto Vernon Street up to Stockport Market Place, where we will join the Stockport Pride festivities. If Vernon Street seems a bit steep, you can use the lift at Sports Direct, up to Stockport Market Place.
The parade will be for walkers, wheelchair users and mobility scooters only. Other vehicles will not be permitted.
All of those on the parade should be dressed appropriately. Everyone has the right to feel safe and loved on the Stockport Pride Parade. We will not tolerate any forms of hate speech.
